Latisse Treatment

Start Growing Your Own Dramatically Fuller, Longer, & Darker Eyelashes With LATISSE®!

What is LATISSE ®?

LATISSE ® treatments are the first and only Health Canada approved prescription eyelash treatments, clinically proven to make eyelashes dramatically fuller, longer, and darker. Developed for those patients who feel that they have inadequate or thinning lashes, we can now prescribe LATISSE® treatments to help enhance their cosmetic appearance.

How LATISSE ® Works

LATISSE® treatments are a once-nightly prescription topical application applied to the base of the upper eyelashes. The active ingredient in LATISSE® is (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution), which prolongs the growth phase of the eyelash hair growing cycle, as well as increases the amount of eyelash hair grown. When using LATISSE®, Calgary patients can expect to see a dramatic increase in the fullness, length and colour of their natural eyelashes.

What To Expect When Using LATISSE ®?

With LATISSE®, you can expect to see a dramatic increase in the fullness, length, as well as the darkness of your eyelashes. Most people will see results in as little as 4-8 weeks, with full results evident by 16 weeks. If treatments are discontinued, eyelashes will slowly revert to their original fullness, length, and color.

How Can I Get LATISSE ® Treatments?

LATISSE® treatments are a prescription product, thus those interested in using the product must have a prescription issued by a qualified practitioner. When interested, please book a consultation with one of our Calgary LATISSE® specialists to determine if treatments are a good fit for you.

Complications and Possible Side Effects

In clinical trails, the most common side effect of LATISSE® treatments was an itching sensation and redness of the eyes. These side effects were reported in approximately 4% of patients in the study and were never considered bothersome enough for any of the individuals experiencing the side effects to stop their treatments. Some other less common side effects can include darkening of the eyelid skin at the area of application (a change that often reverses once treatments are stopped), redness of the eye lids, and dry or irritated eyes. When visiting our office for a consultation about treatment, patients will also be provided with an eye health assessment to make sure LATISSE® treatments are suitable for them.
